The Book Fair takes on a new look ... Co-chairs this year have an opportunity to shape their own GHS tradition. Will GHS continue with the Book-Swap from last year where families donate books for children to share and swap? OR will GHS take the event off-site to the nearby Barnes & Noble where families can participate in special activities, purchase piles of books for summer reading -- and earn a percentage of their purchases for GHS? Creative ideas welcome!
In any event, the Read-A-Thon will continue! Class-wide and school-wide reading minutes are tallied for two weeks, and children can earn free dress days and ice cream parties for their classes.
We are looking for volunteers who love books and reading; who enjoy creating flyers, marketing & promotion materials, etc.; and who enjoy working on a brand new event with details in the works.
