4th Grade Supplies List
In order to be prepared for the new school year, I have compiled a list of supplies that will help your child be organized and successful. All supplies should be clearly labeled. Please, no binders! 2 Red erasable pens for correction work (can be found at office supply stores) 2 Blue or black erasable pens 2 Fine tip dry erase pens for math and 1 dry eraser (can be found at the end of the markers sometimes) 2 mechanical pencils with lead Pencil sharpener 1 small box of colored pencils 1 small box of fine tip markers 1 Pencil box or pouch 1 pad of Post-its 1 eraser bar or 2 eraser caps 1 glue stick 1 pair of scissors 1 highlighter 1 ruler with standard and metric measurements 1 blue folder with pockets* 1 red folder with pockets* 1 green folder with pockets* 1 yellow folder with pockets* *These will be used for organization, no binders! 1 clipboard
If you would like to purchase more of each supply, please do, as your student will run out of some of the above, but, please, only send in the amounts listed at the beginning of the year with your student. The desks become a little crowded
Thank you for your help with the above and I'm looking forward to meeting new students and greeting returning students. Don't forget Back to School Night on August 19th!

The GHS 4th grade recently visited the State Capital. Mr. Tony Beard, Jr., Chief Sergeant-at-Arms and a GHS grandfather, invited the class to sit on the Senate floor. When the Senate opened, the class was introduced to the Senators that were there. The class also got to go into the Assembly and view the Assembly from the balcony. They went on to tour Governor Schwarzenegger's office. The kids enjoyed the photos on the walls, and the boys really liked the Governor's sword from his Conan movie. Thanks to Mr. Beard for making this a special tour.
