The Technology Committee provides advice and recommendations to the board and administration regarding the development of GHS technology on campus.  This includes short-term and long-term strategies for technology acquisition, training and implementation for all community constituiencies (i.e. the administration, faculty, students and parents).  The ultimate goal is to create an overall edutional environment that prepares our students for success in a world of ever-changing and evolving global technology.

The GHS Parent Organization has the primary function of building a strong and vibrant GHS community.  The PO is divided into two branches:  (1) Community Events; and (2) Room Parents.  The Community Events branch is responsible for planning and delivering so many of the events we have come to know and love at GHS.  The Room Parent Branch branch is comprised of one or two representatives from each class, who serve as the primary communication link between the parents, the teachers, the Administration and the Parent Organization.  Through the Room Parents, families connect with each other, the faculty, the staff and the larger GHS community.

We are looking for volunteers to staff the leadership positions of the PO – people who are skilled at coordinating a number of volunteer chairs simultaneously, planning annual calendars and who have GREAT people skills!  This is a great way to get to know tons a fabulous GHS parents and make a huge difference in our community!

This committee develops and implements a marketing strategy to attract qualified students to the school and to retain those students through 8th grade.  They develop strategy -- by defining the GHS brand and refining marketing themes, action plans, and collateral; they conduct research --including periodic and detailed competitive analysis of area schools, annual benchmarking of the GHS community and the effectiveness of GHS' product delivery, and continual tracking of the effectiveness of various marketing methods; they promote positive external and internal relations -- deverloping external partnerships by fostering long-term relationships with area media outlets, community leaders, area schools, businesses and community groups, and promoting internal relations by working with various GHS constituencies to promote coordination and consistency of "on brand" communications in every aspect of school activities.     

We are looking for volunteers who have training or experience in marketing, graphic design or production, copy writing, advertising, marketing research, public relations, journalism, and database management.  These backgrounds are helpful but not necessary.

This committee provides recommendations and advice on planning and executing the maintenance and improvement of the GHS school facility.  The members create and oversee a maintenance and replacement plan for all fixed assets; they oversee special projects and other matters involving the improvement of the facility; and they coordinate and lead volunteers for maintenance of building and grounds.  

We are looking for volunteers who have, if possible, backgrounds in areas such as common sense, maintenance, construction, property mangement, and project management.
